Uplift Pine River Area Kids was created to help feed children living in rural poverty and who are food deprived. Uplift will provide a bag of food to help supplement their weekend meals and snacks.

Uplift Pine River Kids is a community non-profit program created to help those students living in rural poverty, who often face food emergencies.  Uplift will provide a weekly bag of food, to help supplement weekend meals and snacks.

Out of a K-12 school population of 1,037 students, 44-47% live in poverty. 563 students receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch at school. Many more could qualify.  Uplift provides each participant a bag of simple-to-prepare, nonperishable food for weekend meals (when the students are not in school receiving supplemental meals). We plan to start of the fall 2017 school year.

This program is not funded by Pine River Area Schools nor the Tustin Covenant Presbyterian Church.
