"We cannot begin to plan for a child's future, until his/her needs of today are met."

Uplift Pine River Area Kids was created to help feed children living in rural poverty and who are food deprived. Uplift will provide a bag of food to help supplement their weekend meals and snacks.

UPLIFT Pine River Area Kids provides supplemental weekend food for Pine River students in need.  Each week participating students receive a bag with eight meals and eight snacks for the weekend.  Since the program began in the fall of 2017, over 20,400 bags of food have been distributed to kids; that's over 122,000 supplemental means/snacks!

We are in our fifth year of operation!  We have applied for and received grants for our start-up costs and food for the first two years.  We have transitioned to a completely community-supported program. Therefore, we need continued annual support of individuals for the program to continue.

UPLIFT is continuing to provide food bags for students for this school year at a projected cost of $20,000.00.  We are not funded by the Pine River Area School District. We rely solely on supporters such as you to continue to make this program possible for our kids in need
